Only 10% of people remember what they hear, but 80% remember what they see and do. This is why it is important to create good visual posts for social media.
You could have an amazing caption written, but if the visual doesn’t hook them in to start with they the likelihood is that they’ve already scrolled past.
As a social media manager & obviously having my own business social media, I know how important it is for an image to capture someone’s attention. How often do we scroll quite quickly through the feed and not actually take notice of what is on the screen, until all of a sudden something captures our attention? What captures our attention is usually something that stands out-It’s either different to everything else we’ve scrolled past, or it’s something we are interested in, whether it be informative or something funny (entertaining). Only once it’s captured our attention do we stop and read the caption, which also has to retain our attention. So, in reality you could spend a long time pondering over what you write in your caption, but there’s that chance it may not even be seen.
So, what do we do about it?
